The time has come when the entire neighborhood will look like a spooky movie. The decorations will be out; people will go over the board trying to make their house the scariest. Due to Covid, last year has been a little dull. Therefore, it is obvious that the kids will be double excited for this year’s Halloween and will make the most out of it.
Now it is your
responsibility as well to make them feel included. Be it the decoration
process, the food, or even the pumpkin carving. The more that they feel included
in the entire process, the more they will enjoy themselves. We have come up
with a few ideas to turn your party up a notch. Take with you what resonates
with you and your family.
1. Aesthetic
decoration: These days’ people
are more into minimal and aesthetic looks. This does not mean that your
decoration will be less scary or your house will look less than any other
house. This simply means that you are going to opt for decorations that speak
more in less. Black Pumpkin carved and decorated to look like bats, paper
cutting of either bats or owls hanging from the trees, painted mason jars with
spiders on them, or simple Halloween-themed candles would work wonders.
2. Kid
Centric Decoration: Let us be
honest; once you have kids, this festival becomes more about them than about
you. They enjoy the most, are excited the most, and are the most enthusiastic.
Therefore, it is obvious; that the decoration will kid-centric. You can either
transform your entire house to look like their favorite movie, be it Harry
Potter or Frozen. You can make food by adding your creativity to it.
Gingerbread cookies except, they look like skeletons or apples and other fruits
cut in a way to look like a character from the movie.
3. Cocktails: Beer and Wine is fine but Cocktails leave a
lasting impression on the guests. If you have your signature cocktail then, it
will do the trick; otherwise, there are so many DIY cocktail recipes available
on the internet that will be just as effective. You can add the cherry on top
by making it look like a witch brew with the help of dry ice. We suggest that
you make a big batch of it together rather than pouring one glass at a time. This will not only save you a lot of time but also
help with the brew effect.
